Kokueimai - Contemplation by carriepika Kokueimai - Contemplation by carriepika
Well... this didn't turn out nearly as nice as I hoped it would. ;;

Except the view out the window. -THAT- came out good. I like that. ;;

As many of you know, I have a Shadow Muse that happens to be a vampire. Many of you have seen pictures of him. But see, the thing is...

I have -two- Shadow Muses.

I don't know if many of you remember him, but this is Kokueimai. That's his nickname, at least, and what he tends to go by most, now. The name means 'Shadow Dancer' and it's his rave name. :heart:

Yes. Kokueimai is a hardcore raver. =3

He's also an accomplished writer and poet with a terribly romantic and soft heart. He's softspoken, fun loving, cheerful and highly intelligent. If a little prone to brooding, low self-esteem and melancholy.

And the reason why he's so different from the 'real' Shadow while still being Shadow can be fully explained with his background.

I just having finished writing the ficlet out yet. >.>;;;

But! Koku inspires many things in me, usually of the cheerful sort, and he's a very important part of my little life. Much of my poetry and writing come from him and he's a bit of a homebody Muse. My vampire and my demigod both wander, but Koku never really strays far from home. He's rather like my companion muse.

And I've neglected him, artwise, far too much.

So! Here he is. Sitting in my living room window, gazing out at the sunset, with his writing journal (he goes through at least one a week) and obviously contemplating things.

He's been contemplating things a lot, lately. I'm afraid his life has been turned one its ear and he's trying to adjust to some serious loss.

This was, in part, to help cheer him up.

And yes, I think of my Muses as separate parts of myself. I never claim to be anything but insane. =3 :heart:

I know many that are insane. When we see people who are normal, we laugh. because they are dull. We insne people are not dull, we are bright, colourful, and never ever afraid to speak our mind. True? Of course it is!! Though, occasionally, we become moody and melancholy. This is because we are who we are and cannot change what we feel. Until such time as it lifts its weight from our shoulders and we are free once more. And freedom is great.

My little rambling about insanity. I ramble a lot ^_^;

gospel Featured By Owner Mar 25, 2006 this is an interesting turn from usual. Shadow sitting in a window sill looking contemplative. I think the best attribute of this picture is the sky. It's BLUE. Most people would have made it gray for the sake of an emo moment thus making it a gothic to depressive picture and ruining it.

Because you made it blue Shadow seems more like he's thinking about something that could be put in a positive perspective, or even watching the world go by. The gae you drew on him signifying that since he looks moreso at rest, as peace, or at ease. Let's just go with "comfortable" and summarize it all up shall we?

The clothing looks...rather rave like, but that's the beauty of it!
Clothing of a rave and something that looks like it would be used at a wild scenario that involves dancing and motion being put to rest and set still to show deep and emotional thought. THAT happens to be the beauty of the picture and that, dear Miss Pika, is what I shall commend you for~!

Intresting to say the least, and it's pretty clear you've put a lot of thought into this version of Shadow (if I read what you wrote down right... I can't help but feel like I haven't... *reads again*...), it's me, but it's not unsuall to have differnet characters, even different versions of a similar character be used to represent in more than one way, a person's personality. Heck, I do that a lot in my own stories (which for the most part suck, which only motiaves me to try harder... I think I've been saying that to myself a lot...), he must be honelsty thinking over something very serious besides what you have mentioned. He dosen't seam so upset but then again you never know.

Far as relevance to this, I tend to soun dlike a broken record but well, you have your own unique style in digital media, it seams to show off obviously well. The clothes give some evidence he is a raver, besides a visible glow stick. I say this a lot with lighing and shading, your's has it's own unique effect, it's subtle yet noticable, it's a pretty nice effect, making it all the more unique, judgeing from outside, I'm going to assume either sunset, perhaps even sunrise, it's pretty good.

All in all, good job there, I can't really find much to nit-pick, least now, so all in all, great job there.

Yay! You drew and coloured him! :D I love his clothes, and his bracelets are so sweet.

Glowsticks~! :heart:

The window is actually quite calming, and really suits Kokueimai. Plus the beautiful hues of blues makes him stand out so much more. And I love the painted effect, especially on his pants. (*swoons at them*) Lovish the whole thing, and again I'm so glad you starting to show him off again. (*hugs Koku*)

I'm glad to be showing him off, again. =3 :heart:
He really did get neglected, at least artwise, there for a long while. ;; *petpets him*

But! I am remedying that! =D Or trying to. o.o =3 <3<3

Gorgeous work.

I love how you've done the spikes. I personally prefer to think of them as solid though this like hair thing works well.

The eye's could've been better. A more spiked out edge and general curved eye shape would've made the image perfect for me.

I love his clothes and bracelets. He seems like someone I can get along with quite easily. And I'm the same way with my writing, I go through so many, my mom is furious at me because I have so many notebooks in my room and around the house. ^^; Bad me.

But he looks so cool. Very nice pose and sky, and he looks like he's thinking quite deeply about something. I absolutely love this...muchness ^_^

:hug: Wonderful work on this

GUH. DA simply hates me lately and refuses to show any pics. ;; Have only seen this via thumbnail view, but from that at least, the sky did look lovely. <3<3 And I think I rather like Koku's pose. <3<3

; I wish I could see the full verison of this.

But it's good to see you drawing the raver- and colouring him! =O About time too! :shot ded: <3 <3 <3 The vampire gets a lot of luff. =P Time Koku got some too?

Very nice. I like the shading, really. And you're right. The window does stand out, but in a good way. It's lovely. And I love the rever clothes.
