This is what happens when an over confident, cocky young hero opens his big mouth and proceeds to put his foot very firmly inside it.

Based on some goings on in a LiveJournal roleplay I'm a part of.

Basically what it boiled down to was, being in separate worlds (it's multiversal. Yes, it's crack. Hush.), Sonic and Jet had been having this on going boasting fest via instant messenger until, finally, it ended up with Sonic betting Jet there was no way he could get to his world and steal a special trophy from a famous person he knows. Yes, Sonic was talking about himself. No, he didn't think Jet could do it.

So Jet accepted the bet but since Sonic told him he couldn't keep the trophy if he managed to steal it, he decided that he wanted something even better when he won. He wanted Sonic to follow him around on a collar and leash for a day, to show just who it was who got owned. Thinking there was no way Jet could -possibly- win, Sonic agreed to the terms.

Imagine his surprise when he woke up at 2 o'clock in the morning to find a certain hawk lounging in the chair on the other side of his room and a pretty red collar and leash already securily buckled around his neck!

He didn't sulk for -too- terribly long, though. (But that's a whole other story. <3)

Oh and yes, my Sonic is supposed to look like that. Shadow found those gloves while he was on a mission from GUN in a place called Diamond City and bought them for Sonic. They match his shoes! The goggles are, in fact, Jet's spare pair, which he sent through the dimensional transport machine they stole, during testing. (They were originally being worn by a big green birdie plushie but, again, whole other story.) So that's why he's got different gloves and why he's wearing goggles.

I had fun with this. It was fun to colour. I've been trying a few new little things now and then with my digital colouring. I think I like how strong it comes out like this. I'm just experimenting.

And I -still- love drawing and colouring Sonic's SOAPs. They should have left him with those shoes. God, I love them.

Originally sketched in 2b pencil on two separate peices of printer paper then merged in Photoshop. Inked and coloured in openCanvas 3. Total time taken? Somewhere around 6-8 hours, I can't remember exactly.
